100% Suspension was originally formed in 2003 by Colin Leeder, however things began back in 1980 when at the age of sixteen Colin began to try different shocks and oil grades on his moped and then his 125cc Kawasaki, an RD250, that was followed by the 350 Powervalve LC, Colin continued to experiment with different suspension setups through a whole range of bikes looking to improve upon what at the time was very basic suspension. Colin then started racing in 1990 and raced on various machines with Bemsee and New Era, the latest being a 929 Fireblade. He continued to race for 14yrs in various classes with competitive places gained against much faster machines. It was due to his knowledge of suspension technology that enabled him to beat the faster machines and he soon learned the importance of suspension set-up. This is what motivated him into a career in suspension. After spending time at the Ohlins factory in Sweden, Colin became a fully qualified Ohlins technician. He has since worked with numerous track day organisers around the UK and Europe setting up a wide range of bikes and tailoring them to the individual rider's needs. In 2006, 100% Suspension became the suspension technicians for Derby Phoenix Race Club, the goal being to provide the same services previously only available at national level, which in the past have not been available at the grass roots level of our sport. This also includes the trackday rider, either on a road bike or track-orrientated machine, who has a multitude of adjustments available to him but previously had no dedicated service available at the circuit. In 2007, 100% Suspension formed a link with world renowned suspension experts K-Tech and now 100% Suspension represents K-Tech at club racing and trackdays, specialising in the fitment, set-up and servicing of the K-Tech 20mm, 25mm and the latest BSB Spec DDS fork cartridge kits, an additional expansion in 2011 following some 30yrs of suspension experience see's 100% Suspension further strengthening its link with K-Tech with a move into the BRITISH SUPERBIKE paddock and being appointed as an OFFICIAL K-TECH TECHNICAL AND SERVICE CENTRE.
